There are more than 4,000 communities in India, of which more than 2,300 are considered as major people groups. About 1,000 people groups have a population of 10,000 or more. Each of them has language, culture and practices of their own, mostly unknown to the outside world. These people live in more than 6,00,000 villages of rural India.

Each stroke of these etchings from the remote villages of the land is thoughtfully made for a grasp of the situation and to enable diligent action, starting from around your own neighbourhood.  They need to have a life beyond the hills. They need to be brought to the mainstream so that their lives may be transformed. Education, health, better living conditions need to go hand in hand with the transformation.
